By the age of 60, 4 out of 5 men are facing some form of chronic or degenerative disease, whether it is Heart Disease, Cancer, Stroke, Diabetes, Arthritis or Prostate Dysfunction. Most men associate their 40's with a slow down in energy, drive and libido, which at MWI we describe as 1st degree burnout. This form of burnout, like mold under the carpet, does not go away by itself. At age 50, burnout progresses into 2 nd degree burnout and leads itself to midlife crisis and male menopause, the symptoms of which include Fatigue, Weight Gain, Tension, Depression, Stress, Memory Loss, Anxiety, Prostate Cancer, Sexual Dysfunction, declining Passion for Life and Insomnia. Were obesity to set in, it is common to suffer from High Cholesterol Levels, High Blood Pressure and a shift to a Diabetic metabolism.
By 60, without the proper Wellness Planning, advanced male burnout turns into accelerated aging and degenerative disease. The illnesses that take form in people's 60's have their roots set in the 50's and are a function of bad habits that are prevalent in the 30's and 40's. |
